This January, NY Firearms will be sponsoring several classes offered by PFC aka Progressive F.O.R.C.E. Concepts. For those of you who don’t know who PFC is, Las Vegas based PFC is a training and instruction company that specializes in providing integrated small arms, physical defense and tactics instruction that is innovative, comprehensive and intense.
To be completely honest, the training I have had the opportunity to partake in has been some of the best firearms training I have had to date. Progressive Handgun 1; Fighting Foundation
PH1 represents the cutting edge of combative pistol shooting with an emphasis on concealed carry applications and personal defense scenarios. Training topics include the Handgun System & Support Gear, Use of Force, Fundamentals of Shot Placement, Combative Marksmanship, PFC Shooting Responses, Ready & Carry Positions, Presentations, Administrative & Combative Gun‐handling, System Refunction Drills, Bilateral Weapon Operation and After‐Action Ready Measures. 8:30a‐5:30p.
Progressive Handgun 5; Low-Light Engagements
PH5 provides students the latest fight winning principles, tactics and techniques for deadly force personal defense in low‐light environments. Training topics include the Principles of Low‐Light Combat, Light Selection, Carry & Use, Flashlight‐ Assisted Shooting Techniques, Flashlight/Weapon Manipulations, Low‐Light After‐Action Assessments, Barricade Tactics & Reactive Movement Review, Low‐Light Movement Drills, and Low‐Light Tactical Shooting Exercises. 8:30a‐5:30p. Pre‐requisites: PH1 or approved equivalent course of instruction from a recognized training provider.
Tactical Indoor Defense & Evacuation
TIDE is an eye‐opening seminar that teaches armed citizens and professionals how to safely defend themselves or someone else indoors. Students will learn the strategies of structure clearing, defense‐ in‐place and tactical evacuation through lecture, technical drilling and practical exercises. Training topics include the Principles of Indoor Combat, Structure Traits & Nomenclature, Indoor Scenarios & Tactical Decision Making, movement methods & tempos, Door Management, Room Entry, Room Clearing, Room Management, Confined Spaces, Halls & Walls, Compound Problems, Solo & Partner CQB, Hardpointing, Crisis Egress, and After‐Action Measures. Instruction is 100% dry w/ inert training weapons. No ammunition necessary. 8:30a‐5:30p.
As I said above, it’s pretty rare that you’ll get to take these classes in your backyard. These are certainly some of the best defensive, TIER-1 classes you can get your hands on!
